The scales include a 'tare' function so that you can automatically subtract the weight of the keg, or the weight of the product already on the scale from the measurement, a feature which is invaluable for perfectly measure resin and then hardener into the same container.
The scales are powered by AA batteries (4 included) which ensures a very long operating life (even hundreds of hours) and makes them extremely portable. In our experience battery powered scales are much more practical in a workshop environment.
