Chemlease® PMR MS EU

Chemlease® PMR MS EU is a solvent-based semi-permanent release agent, designed for composites molding applications. It is ideal for releasing complex-shaped parts while maintaining a Class A, high-gloss finish and excellent high-temperature stability.

Application

1. Thoroughly clean mold surfaces to remove wax, release agents, sealers, and polishing compounds. Use the appropriate Chemlease® Mold Cleaner for a final cleaning.

2. It is not necessary to seal the mold, except for porous surfaces (such as tooling boards or 3D printed substrates), where a Chemlease® mold primer is recommended.

3. Apply the product with a clean cotton cloth (not dripping) and spread it in an even, continuous layer. Work on small areas at a time.

4. Wipe the surface with a second clean, dry cloth when the product begins to evaporate. Repeat until the entire mold surface is covered.

5. Apply 3 to 5 coats in total, allowing at least 15 minutes of cure time between coats and 30 minutes after the final coat before molding.

6. If releasing becomes difficult, reapply one or more coats following the same procedure.

Note

Cure time may vary depending on ambient and mold temperature. Wipe off excess product at the beginning of evaporation to avoid smearing or streaking. If smears appear, use the same product to remove them immediately.

Storage

Store at temperatures below 49°C. Keep the container tightly closed to prevent evaporation or contamination. If stored at low temperatures, allow it to reach room temperature before use.
