Thermoset resins play an essential role in creating durable and efficient structures. These resins undergo an exothermic reaction triggered by the combination of the resin with the hardener or catalyst. When combined with reinforcement fibers, these resins generate high-performance composite materials. They act as elements that keep the reinforcements cohesive and preserve the mold's geometry.

In addition to their bonding function, these resins distribute mechanical loads and establish thermal limits. Factors like Glass Transition Temperature (Tg) and Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT) influence the response to different temperatures.
